About Me

Larissa Ferenchuk is a children's picture book author, who loves all things magical and whimsical.  She lives in Adelaide, with her husband, three children and a lovely little grey rabbit, who was the inspiration for her picture book, Two Rabbits.

Larissa has been writing stories in her head and on paper, ever since she was a child. Her first picture book, called The flower that wouldn't bloom,  was created in primary school when she was given a task to create something that she was passionate about.

These days, she still loves to write stories about gardens and nature, but she also loves creating stories that encourage children to explore their feelings, and their connections to the communities they live in.

When she is not busily scribbling down ideas for new stories, Larissa also works in a Preschool, and loves spending time with the very imaginative 4 and 5 year old children there. 

In her spare time, Larissa enjoys going on off road adventures with her family, kayaking, camping, jet skiing, boating and exploring.
